Chinese MINI is cheap, efficient, but still not the real deal

This solar-powered car built by China's Zhejiang 001 Group is just $5,560. It is also fairly efficient in converting electricity between 14 -17% and uses unintegrated solar panels.

One caveat: it takes 30 hours for one charge vis-a-vis the upcoming new MINI E that takes only 2.5 hours.
